Cringe
I climb up the ladder
to change the light bulb
only that the light bulb
didn’t really need changing
it just didn’t emit
enough of a light
to my liking
I replace things
in this way
light bulbs
shoes
you
me
we all didn’t emit
enough of a light
and so we were replaced
with brighter versions
and we now live in the world
of things replaced by me
like ghosts haunting
an old hotel
and we say things like
BOO
when we really mean things like
BOO
